Originally from Brazil, Antonio spent over a decade excelling in civil engineering and commercial construction before making the decision to pursue a new path. Today, he’s doing what he loves with DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen, bringing clients’ visions to life and turning old spaces into dream spaces!
The Journey from Brazil to the United States
Living in the United States was a dream of Antonio’s. After graduating from an energy program in 2007, he envisioned a future of opportunities in America. While Antonio had a successful career in commercial construction back in Brazil, he felt he wasn’t quite where he wanted to be.
“There were more opportunities here, but I wasn’t going where I wanted with my business at the time,” Antonio recalls. Exploring new options, he connected with a consultant (Patrick at VISA Franchise) who introduced him to DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen—a decision that would change his life. In 2019, Antonio purchased his DreamMaker franchise in Hollywood, Florida, officially opening its doors in February 2020. Then, just 45 days later, the COVID-19 pandemic brought an unexpected challenge: he had to temporarily close his business. “It was seven months before we sold our first job,” Antonio reflects. “It was a hardship, but we persevered.”
Overcoming Challenges in a New Industry
Moving from commercial construction in Brazil to remodeling in the U.S. wasn’t easy. Antonio had to learn new construction methods, adapt to a different culture, and develop new skills. “The biggest challenge was learning to deal with people in a new culture,” Antonio shares. Antonio takes customer satisfaction very seriously. One of the things he most enjoys is seeing a satisfied client at the end of a project. “Just getting that smile or knowledge that they are happy is what I look for, and it brings me great joy.”
Antonio credits the company’s Code of Values™ for helping him navigate this transition. “The team and network were always available to me,” he says. “That’s not something you find in all franchises.” DreamMaker’s support made a huge difference. Personally, Antonio says the journey has been transformative. “DreamMaker helped me become more humble, to listen more and talk less,” he explains. “People don’t care how much you know until they know you care.”
Building a Passionate Team
Antonio strongly believes that success is a team effort. DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen of Hollywood, FL is supported by an incredible group of professionals who are just as passionate about the work as he is. Office Manager Sabrina keeps everything running smoothly with her expertise in finance and operations, while Kalie, Marketing Director —with over 17 marketing certifications— drives outreach. Daniel, the Project Manager, brings both hands-on experience and a deep understanding of business operations to the table.
“Everyone has a role, and my team works together well,” Antonio says. “They are passionate about their roles and about DreamMaker!”

From adapting to a new industry to navigating the challenges of the pandemic – DreamMaker’s systems and values have been a constant source of support along the way.

Beyond the Business
When Antonio isn’t busy Enhancing Lives, and Improving Homes, he loves spending time with his wife, Fernanda, and their two children, Theo and Sarah. He’s also a big sports fan, cheering on his favorite soccer team, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, and staying active with soccer and tennis. He is continuing to expand and grow in business and looks forward to prioritizing family more and more along the way! Antonio’s story is one of perseverance, growth, and gratitude—a reminder that with the right support and determination, it’s possible to achieve incredible things.
